Fact-IoT

Our proprietary IIoT solution, the pinnacle of modern technological innovation in automation and data security.

Fact-IoT is our proprietary IIoT platform, developed to address the specificities of our systems and the inadequacy of pure cloud solutions.

Specialities:

    • It must be able to save all online data according to operator instructions or set event.
    • Requires unified database management solution, using cloud database
    • A special solution for storing time-series data is needed to increase the speed by 100 times, or up to 1000 times for even larger data volumes
    • A scripting programming language is needed to perform the simplified calculations
    • Data modelling and analytical capability (see energy management) to evaluate historical data
    • Reports should be produced as interactive, responsive web pages based on data models
    • Alarms, event monitoring, logging, evaluation in graphical, audio, image, email or SMS, event map, event statistics, etc.
    • Communication with all common industrial controllers (PLC, DDC, HMI), around 140 communication drivers besides connection to other cloud services

The optimal IIoT architecture

  • No direct connection between SCADA and PLC
  • opening up the possibility for industrial automation systems (PLC / HMI; SCADA; EMS and CMMS; MES; ERP; Cloud) to communicate with each other, thus enabling real automatic operation without the need for human intervention
  • internal operations are not dependent on a cloud service provider
  • with this architecture, SCADA (EMS, BMS, CMMS, etc.) is connected to the data of local IIoT and IoT via the "Main frame"
  • systems are connected to the local IIoT platform based on IP
  • the server is freed from many of its previous functions and can its resources can be made available to run the local IIoT
  • by interposing the Distribution Service, a hierarchical system with distributed intelligence can be created, capable of optimal compression and data transfer, resulting in significant data traffic reduction
  • Connect any IoT or IIoT cloud service (AWS, Microsoft Azure, PTC ThingWorx, etc.)
The SCADA background tasks (communication, alarms, reporting, DMS-BI, cyclic program, trend and data management, historical data, etc.) are all transferred to the Fact-IoT server, which is also operating as a VISION server (in this case).

Benefits:

  • Security: since operator actions do not affect the IIoT, the VISION user does not reach IIoT services, human error is eliminated from the system
  • Speed: a significant improvement in speed by compressing the data by 1/2000 (0.05%) allowing the establishement of extremely fast communication (we managed to measure a speed increase of two times, in some cases ten times, compared to the previous system)
  • Redundant systems: reduced switching time between redundant systems to 10-100 ms
  • Trends: real-time trends can be displayed on clients
  • Modification sensitivity can be extended to the client: IIoT can treat system components as if all components were working in a shared memory
  • Restart: due to the change table modification, it is not necessary to restart VISION, neither the server nor the client, just copy the files
  • Data integrity: the SCADA application sees all the data that has been uploaded to the system - both on server and client - without even needing a variable table declaration, thus ensuring the easiest possible interoperability between systems and projects

What is DMS?

DMS is an easily manageable data modeling and dashboard editing program. Its main purpose is to create dashboards displaying the measured and calculated data of the metering network. However, it not only creates dashboards but complete web applications containing menu systems and control elements necessary for selecting data, facilities, and changing time when displaying historical data. A special feature of the system is the system of universal identifiers (Smart ID) introduced for data grouping, which allows us to create universally applicable data processing and dashboard schemes. The extraordinary workload of individual data assignment thus decreases to a fraction, while the created schemes can be used in multiple projects. The data from DMS can be displayed on a dashboard and map, accessed by users in the form of a web application using the DMS cloud service. It is completely configurable so that users can see what they need from the projects and dashboards created in the system and perform any necessary interventions.

Meter reading SCADA

8-step configurable energy metering - data collection application for collecting data from up to a large number of sub-meters

The Ener-Aid miniSCADA concept is a universal technology for collecting data from various sources and processing it uniformly. The software family is not only designed for metering devices (e.g., electricity meters) but also for handling IoT devices, efficiently processing provider files in formats such as xls, xml, csv, txt, and many other specialized tasks such as recognizing electronic invoices. The Ener-Aid Meter Reading miniSCADA allows the meter reader to be integrated into higher-level data processing and analysis systems developed by third parties, using the open, standard interfaces of the meter reader. Further analysis can be performed on the stored measurement data due to the modular expandability. The systems are capable of handling large amounts of data at both user and data levels, optimized for this purpose. The program is based on Vision X10 Scada foundations, is device-independent (capable of working with any device communicating according to specified standards), and is a meter reading, configuring, and data collecting application that:
  • Automates data collection from instruments with communication capabilities.
  • Can validate and display collected real-time measurement data (even per second).
Helps manage measurement data from sub-meters of companies subject to sub-metering regulations much more easily. The dashboards built into the Meter Reading miniSCADA product use the electrical measurement data stored in the system to display meter-by-meter comparisons and different resolution data summaries. They also perform continuous analysis of meter data based on various standards and regulations. For example, idle analytics, voltage analysis. The Meter Reading miniSCADA can be modularly expanded with additional analytics elements. Since the electrical measurement system is already given, by specifying building parameters (area m2, air m3) and adding cooling-heating energy data, optimization analyses can be completed.
